Surgical Coordinator

The Surgical Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth scheduling and coordination of surgical procedures. This position serves as a liaison between patients, surgeons, and clinical staff to facilitate timely and efficient surgical care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and schedule surgical procedures, ensuring all pre-operative requirements are met.

• Communicate with patients regarding surgery details, preparation instructions, and follow-up care.

• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and operating room staff to optimize scheduling and resource allocation.

• Maintain accurate documentation and records in compliance with healthcare regulations and organizational policies.

• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum education requirements: High School Diploma

• Previous experience as a scheduling surgeries is required.

• Ability to handle a multi-line phone system.

• Competence in medical records filing and maintenance.

• Experience in collection of copays and cash payments.

Work Environment

This role is based in a specialty medical practice where you will be onsite five days per week, from Monday to Friday, 7:45am to 5:00pm.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
