Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide 24-hour call coverage, including weekends
• Round on 3 to 10 patients daily
• Manage new surgical consults (0 to 3 per shift)
• Respond to cases involving gallbladder, hernia, bowel obstruction, and appendix
• Deliver timely and effective patient care during call shifts

Additional Information

• Must hold a Nebraska medical license
• Required board certification: General Surgery
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required
• Call backs are infrequent
