Surgery - General Nurse Practitioner

Locums - NP/PA CVT Surgery Opportunity Hershey, Pennsylvania
Full-Time No IMLC OR First Assist + Call Through December 2025

We're seeking an experienced Cardiovascular/Thoracic Surgery Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide full-time locum coverage in Hershey, PA. This position involves both first assist in the OR and ICU/floor coverage, with scheduled clinic hours and rotating weekend call.

Position Overview:

• Start Date: ASAP

• End Date: December 31, 2025

• Location Options: Hershey or Holy

• Schedule:
  • Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM (in-house)
  • Call: every 5 weekends (Friday 6:00 PM - Monday 6:30 AM) - from home
  • Call Nights: 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM
  • 36-40 hours per week + call
  • Not a PRN opportunity

• Call Details:
  • 1:6 rotation
  • 30-minute response time
  • 2 patients seen per call shift
  • 20% call back rate

Clinical Scope:

• Heavy OR focus with some ICU/floor responsibilities

• Endoscopic Vein Harvesting (EVH) required

• First assist in cardiovascular/thoracic procedures

• 3-4 clinic patients/day

• Trauma Level I

• Stroke-Certified Hospital

• EMR: Cerner

• Equipment: Marquet

Candidate Requirements:

• Board Certified or Board Eligible NP/PA

• Active Pennsylvania License - Required

• BLS & ACLS (AHA) - Required

• Must have CVT experience including EVH and first assist

• IMLC not accepted
