Administrative Assistant Responsibilities:

• The Administrative Assistant performs diverse secretarial and support duties, including scheduling of daily activities, maintains an accurate and efficient surgery schedule, retention and organization of documentation and follow-up function for surgery and anesthesia.
• Works closely with nursing staff to coordinate surgeries, outpatient procedures and clinic appointments.
• Monday - Friday, no holidays or weekends.
• Typical hours are 8:00am 4:00pm with alternating Fridays from 11:00am-3:00pm.
• 24 - 35 hours per week. Flexible based on candidates availability.

Administrative Assistant Requirements:

• 2 years of experience in a healthcare environment is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills are necessary.
• Experience with word processing and good typing skills (40 or more wpm)
• Good verbal and written communication skills with a thorough knowledge of English grammar, punctuation and composition.
• Mandatory Reporter training certificate a plus; certification is required as an employee.
