Onsite Supplier Quality Auditor

Apex Systems is looking to hire an Onsite Supplier Quality Auditor for our client based out of Greensboro, NC.

This assignment is anticipated to be a 6 month contract with strong potential for extension; however, Apex Systems cannot guarantee the length of this assignment. This will also have a first shift MondayFriday schedule. Frequent travel is required (approximately 34 times per month).

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate supplier capability, performance, and potential using a risk management approach.
• Conduct audits using tools such as the Supplier Evaluation Model for system-level assessments.
• Identify weaknesses, gaps, and risks in supplier operations and coach suppliers on mitigation plans.
• Collaborate with Supplier Quality Engineers to support supplier development.
• Present audit findings and upload reports into internal systems.
• Share best practices and calibrate lead auditors to ensure consistent, fact-based audit outcomes.
• Support sourcing decisions through robust audit documentation and analysis.
• Provide mentorship and support to team members, contributing to overall team development.

Experience:

• 5+ years of technical experience with a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• Strong audit skills and knowledge of ISO 19011.
• Structured and analytical approach with strong problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with various production processes.
• Strong continuous improvement mindset.
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Preventive mindset with leadership capabilities for decision-making and problem resolution.
• Ability to build networks and lead cross-functional activities in multicultural teams.
• Capable of working independently while being a collaborative team player.
• Sustainability-focused mindset.
• Experience in supplier development or quality assurance roles.
• Familiarity with risk assessment tools and supplier evaluation frameworks.
