Leadership and Direction: Leads and directs the team in alignment with organizational goals and departmental objectives.

Human Resources Management: Oversees Human Resources activities including:

• Recruiting and hiring
• Staff development and retention
• Scheduling and productivity
• Performance appraisals and competency assessments
• Ensures HR practices are in compliance with organizational policies and procedures
• Provides guidance to staff in problem-solving, work organization, and decision-making
• Facilitates staff meetings for information sharing and issue resolution
• Contributes to the hospital's performance improvement initiatives by developing, implementing, and monitoring improvement plans
• Collaborates with the Service Line Manager to create and manage departmental budgets, while controlling operational, labor, and capital expenditures
• Acts as a liaison to address both internal and external customer needs
• Adheres to the Standards of Employee Conduct as outlined in Policy and Procedure No. 45-19

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• Manages all Respiratory Services FTEs, based on the scope of services provided
• Fulfills supervisory duties in accordance with company policies and relevant laws
• Leads the recruitment and hiring process, ensuring appropriate training for new employees
• Plans, assigns, and directs work tasks
• Evaluates performance and competencies
• Rewards and disciplines staff as necessary
• Resolves complaints, involving the Respiratory Service Line Manager when appropriate
• Assists the Respiratory Service Line Manager with budget oversight and expense management
• Continuously evaluates and enhances operational processes
• Ensures integration of services that align with the hospital's mission and goals

Required: Certifications/Licenses/Education:

• Current licensure as a Registered Respiratory Tech in applicable state.
• Maintains required certifications as required per unit.
• Basic Life Support: Health Care Provider required.
