Superintendent - Heavy Civil Construction (Goldsboro)

Position Overview
The Superintendent will oversee and manage construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in heavy civil construction, particularly in roadway and bridge projects.
Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of construction projects
• Coordinate and supervise construction crews and subcontractors
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes
• Monitor project progress and prepare regular reports for management
• Manage project budgets and schedules effectively
• Communicate with clients, architects, and other stakeholders
• Resolve on-site issues and conflicts as they arise
• Conduct inspections and ensure quality control throughout the construction process
  

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Superintendent in heavy civil construction
• Strong knowledge of roadway and bridge construction techniques
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and technical drawings
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field preferred
• OSHA certification and other relevant safety training
