Join us in accelerating antibody discovery! We're looking for a highly motivated and driven summer undergraduate intern to join our B Cell Technologies/Antibody Discovery team in Brisbane, CA to support a cutting-edge project focused on accelerating antibody selectivity screening. You will contribute to the development and validation of a multiplexed fluorescent barcoding strategy for cell lines expressing antigens from different species, enabling simultaneous screening using the CellCelector platform. This role offers hands-on experience in antibody discovery workflows and exposure to innovative technologies in therapeutic development.

Key responsibilities include:

• Design and implement an multiplexed cell labeling strategy using spectrally distinct fluorophores
• Prepare and maintain cell lines expressing the same antigen from multiple species (e.g., human, mouse, cyno).
• Integrate the labeling workflow with the CellCelector single-cell picking platform.
• Conduct antibody screening experiments using labeled cell mixtures and antibody-secreting cells
• Perform image-based analysis to identify and isolate B cells producing species-selective antibodies
• Validate isolated antibodies using flow cytometry, ELISA, and other binding assays
• Document experimental procedures, results, and contribute to protocol optimization

Qualifications and experience:

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program in Biology, Bioengineering, Immunology, or a related field.
• Basic laboratory experience in cell culture, fluorescence microscopy, or immunoassays is preferred.
• Familiarity with molecular cloning, antibody screening techniques, single-cell analysis platforms is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced research environment.
• All candidates must be authorized to work in the US both at the time of hire and for the duration of their employment. Please note that immigration or visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

This is a temporary, time-bound position intended for the duration of the internship or co-op program. Employment in this role does not imply or guarantee ongoing or permanent employment with BMS.

The starting hourly compensation for this assignment is within the range of $27.00 to $29.00/hr. Please note that the final individual compensation and any applicable benefits will be determined by your employer of record (and not BMS). Factors influencing this decision may include the characteristics of the assignment, such as demonstrated experience, required skill, and the geographic location of the job.
