STUD WELDER Entry Level

Job Title: STUD Welder- ENTRY LEVEL

Job Description - 2nd Shift $17/hr

Are you interested in learning welding and coming from general labor or construction labor experience? We are currently hiring for a STUD welder- you will be trained to operate stud welding equipment to attach studs to steel components. Inspect materials and welds for quality and accuracy. Maintain welding equipment and report any malfunctions. Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE at all times. Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines. Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of work area.

Responsibilities

• Operate stud welding equipment efficiently.

• Read and interpret tape measures accurately.

• Inspect materials and welds to ensure high-quality standards.

• Maintain welding equipment and promptly report any malfunctions.

• Adhere to safety protocols and consistently wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

• Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve production goals and deadlines.

• Perform routine maintenance and ensure cleanliness of the work area.

Essential Skills

• Minimum 1 year of experience in stud welding or related welding processes.

• Proficiency in welding techniques, including flux core welding.

• Ability to read and interpret tape measures.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Familiarity with structural steel fabrication practices.

• Experience with Mig welding, stainless steel, flux core, stick welding, Tig welding, and fabrication.

• Blueprint reading skills are beneficial but not required.

Work Environment

Welders will work outdoors under cover in an open-air shop. The environment can be loud and dirty at times. The work schedule includes a 1st shift from Monday to Thursday, 7 am to 4:30 pm, Friday from 6 am to 2 pm, and Saturdays from 6 am to 12 pm. The 2nd shift operates Monday to Thursday, 4:30 pm to 2 am, Friday from 2 pm to 10 pm, and optional Saturdays from 6 am to 12 pm. PPE is required, including personal welding hoods and steel toe boots. Employees must inform supervisors before leaving a shift for safety purposes.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Oakland Park, Florida.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
