Structures Technician

The Structures Technician will perform manual labor in a production line, assembling parts for satellite systems. This role involves working as part of a production team and requires attention to detail and proficiency with various tools and equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Work as part of a production team to assemble parts.
• Sort and place materials or items on tables, racks, or bins.
• Manually assemble satellite sub-assembly parts.
• Use various hand tools, measuring, and test equipment.
• Clean assembled parts and place them in protective bags or boxes.
• Pack, seal, and move boxes.
• Pick up, move, and sort small parts.
• Use small tools and jigs to manipulate parts for assembly.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Essential Skills:

• Proficiency in assembly, blueprint reading, and wiring.
• Experience with structure and sheet metal repair, assembly, hand tools, and power tools.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• High aptitude for working with small electronics, including soldering small electrical components or mechanical equipment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Eligibility to work in the United States.
• Associates degree or certificate in a technical area preferred.
• Experience in assembly or manufacturing.
• Experience in the space or aeronautical field is a plus.

Work Environment:

The position operates in a clean room environment where team members are required to wear smocks, hair nets, beard nets, and shoe covers.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Contract position based out of Midland, Texas.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $27.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
