This role involves serving as a lead technical expert in the design of transportation projects, such as bridges. You will engage in complex structural planning, analysis, and design for transportation and facility projects. Responsibilities include client presentations, proposal preparation, estimating project costs, and contract negotiations. The role requires overseeing project quality, schedule, and budget requirements, and assisting with directing and coordinating activities on transportation engineering projects to achieve their goals and objectives.

  Serve as the lead technical role in design for transportation projects, including bridges.

  Perform complex structural planning, analysis, and design for all structural aspects of transportation and facility projects.

  Prepare client presentations, proposals, and estimates for project costs, and participate in contract negotiations.

  Oversee and ensure that project quality, schedule, and budget requirements are met.

  Assist with directing and coordinating activities on transportation engineering projects to ensure goals and objectives are accomplished.

  Establish work plans and multi-disciplinary staffing for each project phase.

• n

  Direct and coordinate the activities of team members and technicians to ensure project progress according to schedule and budget.

  Supervise a team of junior engineers.

Essential Skills

• n

  Proficiency in structural engineering and design.

  n

• n

  Experience with structural analysis and bridge design.

  n

• n

  Skilled in using SAP2000, AutoCAD, Microstation, and OpenBridge.

• n

  Minimum of 3-6 years of experience in structural analysis, design, and plan development for new and rehabilitation projects.

• n

  Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.

  n
n
• n

  PE License is required.

  n
n
• n

  Experience with design of DOT and MTA projects.

  n
n

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  Experience working on Design-Build projects.

• n

  Professional Engineer (PE) license.

  n

• n

  Experience with structural bridge design and design-build projects.
