Store Manager - Retail, Boston

Overview

Gopuff is seeking a Liquor Store Manager to join the operations team. We are looking for a self-starting and entrepreneurial leader to lead the Liquor Store division of our brand. The Liquor Store Manager role is an intense and fast-paced role within goPuff that requires drive, grit, positivity, and enthusiasm for the challenge. You will lead a local team of Shift Leaders and Operations Associates overseeing the facility’s operations as well as a team of independent Driver Partners. The success of the territory rests on your ability to execute and effectively lead a team that is focused on delivering a perfect experience for our customers.

Responsibilities

• Plans, directs and is accountable for all operations including deliveries, inventory, equipment, and systems.
• Drive improvements to key performance indicators (KPIs) such as Order Picking Time, Order Dwell Time, Drive Time, Order Defect Rate, and Cost Per Order.
• Drive the financial performance of the site by ensuring that budgeted productivity, labor, and other expenses are achieved.
• Ensure compliance with Gopuff and legal policies, procedures, and regulations for the warehouse by analyzing and interpreting reports.
• Implement and monitor Human Resource compliance, asset protection, safety controls, overseeing the safety of people and products, and conduct operational and quality assurance reviews.
• Develop and implement action plans to improve performance, guiding the execution of Company programs and directing the management team while maintaining the confidentiality of information, documentation, and assigned records.
• Train the site leadership in controlling expenses and labor to ensure adherence to the budget and sales volume.
• Create and implement plans to improve the facility’s financial performance.
• Maintain awareness of applicable laws and regulations, such as Massachusetts lie detector law, and ensure compliance where required.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of managing and leadership experience, minimum of 5 years in a fast-paced environment with a blended W2 and 1099 workforce.
• Experience in retail, warehouse, logistics, military, restaurant, or equivalent settings.
• Beer/liquor store experience strongly preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong conflict resolution skills.
• Strong skills in team development and engagement.
• Ability to lead in an ever-changing environment and act as a change agent to improve processes and efficiencies.
• Ability to work with fluid schedules; available during peak hours (5pm - 12am) and able to visit the facility on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday once or twice per month.
• Customer-first mindset and team-oriented mentality.
