Are you ready to build the engine that powers enterprise AI? The Applied AI team is on a mission to build and deploy sophisticated AI agents for a various range of enterprise customers, and we are searching for a visionary Staff Data Engineer to join our agile and impactful team. Our organization has historically not had a dedicated data function, presenting a rare and exciting greenfield opportunity to build one entirely from scratch. This is your chance to operate in a true 0-to-1 startup environment, where your experience will lay the groundwork for our entire data strategy. In this role, you will design and build our data infrastructure from the ground up. You will be instrumental in architecting and implementing the core data pipelines and instrumentation that will empower our data scientists and UX researchers. Your work will be the bedrock upon which they derive insights, inform critical product strategy, and drive constant innovation across our AI agent offerings. You will push boundaries, will rapidly prototype new ideas, to contribute to a team that's relentlessly driven to exceed industry expectations. You will play a critical role in shaping and scaling our team while making a tangible impact on real-world applications.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 10 years of experience with data processing software (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Pig, Hive) and algorithms (e.g., MapReduce, Flume).
• Experience writing software in Java, C++, Python, Go, or JavaScript.
• Experience managing client-facing projects, troubleshooting technical issues, and working with Engineering and Business Services teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with data warehouses, including data warehouse technical architectures, infrastructure components, ETL/ELT, and reporting/analytic tools and environments.
• Experience in technical consulting.
• Experience working with Big Data, information retrieval, data mining, or machine learning.
• Experience in building multi-tier high availability applications with modern web technologies (e.g., NoSQL, MongoDB, SparkML, TensorFlow).
• Experience architecting, developing software, or internet scale production-grade Big Data solutions in virtualized environments.
• Experience with AI to drive automation for data pipelines and data quality.

About the Job

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $180,000-$267,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
