About the Job
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Manager, eCommerce Engineering to join our Digital eCommerce engineering team. We are looking for a talented engineering leader who will be responsible for building digital applications to support best in class for online, mobile and in-store customer experience. This person will be responsible for leading a team of engineers to design and implement projects based on business requirements developed in partnership with product management and business owners. We are looking for someone who is excited about technology and has strong focus on delivering business value.
What You'll Do | Key Accountabilities
• Provide day-to-day direction to the team of engineers to consistently deliver best in class ecommerce applications.
• Lead release prioritization and scoping to maintain balance between projects, enhancements, bug fixes and production support activities always ensuring that the backlog is groomed and prioritized according to the overall strategy and roadmap.
• Lead project planning, design and development and delivery of ecommerce initiatives spanning across new programs / projects, bug fixes and enhancements.
• Implement developer best practices, lead troubleshooting site experience issues and be responsible for communicating action plan, status and preventive measures to all stakeholders.
• Identify and drive adoption of new tools, techniques, processes and methodology to improve engineering delivery.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver large scale strategic projects as well as ongoing operational activities.
• Interface with cross functional leaders and represent point of views to drive measurable success.
• Champion engineering excellence, agile practices, and a culture of continuous improvement.
What You'll Bring | Skills & Experience
• 10 + years of experience delivering highly scalable ecommerce software engineering initiatives.
• 5+ years of experience leading ecommerce initiatives in a retail environment that requires extensive collaboration across cross-functional groups including external vendors.
• 5+ years of proven leadership experience in managing in-house and outsourced teams of highly professional engineers.
• Experience building high availability systems for web and mobile with distributed microservices architecture.
• Ability to hire top talent, mentor, inspire and grow strong teams.
• Ability to prioritize, execute tasks, and deliver results on time and within budget.
• Experience working in an agile environment with strong understanding of agile SDLC processes.
• Understanding of DevOps best practices and infrastructure architecture.
• Strong technical acumen with the ability to make architectural decisions and lead engineering teams.
• Exceptional at prioritizing and focusing on the highest value opportunities Ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting that is constantly evolving.
• Ability to work up and down the leadership range, with good flexibility to shift quickly between strategy and tactics.
Preferred Skills:
• Understanding of supporting eCommerce technologies and systems - middleware, distributed order management systems, payment and fraud, tax etc.
• Hands on development experience in one or more of the following technologiesis - Java, Spring Boot, Javascript, Node js and React or other similar frameworks.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity.
• Experience in IBM WebSphere Commerce and/or WCS version upgrades.

Work Environment, Physical & Mental Demands
• Ability to sit and work at a computer keyboard for extended periods of time

• Must utilize visual acuity, speech and hearing, hand and eye coordination and manual dexterity necessary to operate a computer and office equipment
• Hours regularly 40 hours per week, as work dictates, in a hybrid work location from our Dublin, California office.

The starting salary for this position is $153,000 - 180,000. Actual compensation within this range will be determined based on factors such as skills, experience, and qualifications. Over time, and subject to performance, tenure, and evolving responsibilities, total compensation for this role may grow to as much as $225,000. Other compensation may include a 15% Annual Incentive Plan (AIP) bonus paid out according to policy. Base pay information is based on market location and may be subject to prevailing wage laws, if applicable.
