In this position...
- The Specialist, Employee Relations, working under general direction, is responsible for supporting labor strategy and negotiations actions
- This role conducts daily operations including project management support, collaborating with teams, including cross-functionally, to implement processes and training material.
What you'll do...
- Support objectives and deliverables for continuous improvement projects. This includes using LEAN tools to help deliver key performance indicators (KPIs) and identify preventive measures to keep processes working as designed.
- Create meeting materials and presentations.
- Support centralized communication process.
- Create and manage SharePoint sites.
- Lead cross-functional tasks, assignments, and projects in support of labor teams including hourly hiring strategy, job security programs, negotiations, wage administration, etc.
- Support and deliver National/Local negotiation planning initiatives including training material and workshops.
- Support National Negotiations contractual language control process.
- Manage National Negotiations facility matters, budget, food services, etc.
- Ad hoc research and other assignments as required.
You'll have...
- Bachelor's Degree in Industrial/Labor Relations, Human Resources, Organizational Development, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience.
- Minimum 3 years of work experience with a with a Bachelor's degree, preferably in Employee Relations or a related field.
- Plant labor relations preferred (negotiations experience is beneficial)
- Functional proficiency with Microsoft Office software applications and SharePoint.
- Problem solving / conflict resolution.
- Data analysis / data presentation.
- Project management skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication including presentation skills.
- Ability to build consensus with stakeholders.
- Plant labor relations preferred (negotiations experience is beneficial)
