Special Education Teacher

Amergis Educational Staffing is seeking a full-time Special Education Teacher to support a TKK Mild/Moderate classroom at Halecrest Elementary School in Chula Vista, CA. This in-person role begins ASAP and runs through the 20252026 school year.

Position Details

• Location: Chula Vista, CA
• Start Date: ASAP
• Duration: 34 weeks
• Schedule: MondayFriday, 8:15 AM 3:45 PM (35 hours/week)
• Pay: Up to $70/hr local or $2,730/week travel
• Caseload: 11 students
• Setting: Mild/Moderate TKK classroom
• Modality: In-person only
• Interview Type: Virtual

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized instruction and support for TKK students
• Develop and implement IEPs
• Collaborate with general education staff and participate in team planning
• Maintain documentation and comply with professional standards

Qualifications

• Valid California MM Certification
• Experience teaching younger students preferred
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• CPR certification, TB clearance, and health certificate as applicable
• Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age
