Special Education Teacher (Mild/Moderate)

Location: Buellton, CA

Hours per Week: 37.5

Duration: 36 Weeks

Pay Rate:

• Local: $70/hr
• Travel: $55/hr + $20/hr (Lodging & Meal Stipend)

About the Role: Amergis Educational Staffing is seeking a passionate Special Education Teacher to support students with mild to moderate disabilities in Buellton, CA. Instruction may be delivered in general education or specialized settings, with a focus on individualized support and inclusive learning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement IEPs in compliance with timelines
• Conduct assessments and support evaluation processes
• Provide direct instruction tailored to student goals
• Collaborate with general educators and related service providers
• Supervise instructional support staff and students
• Maintain accurate records and ensure confidentiality
• Participate in school activities and maintain professional conduct
• Communicate regularly with families and school staff

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree
• California Mild/Moderate Credential
• Experience in special education preferred
• CPR certification (if applicable)
• TB clearance and health certificate (as required)
• Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age
