Special Education Teacher

Amergis Educational Staffing is hiring a full-time Special Education Teacher to support students in Tempe, Arizona for the 20252026 school year. This in-person role begins October 20, 2025 and runs through May 2026, offering $50/hour for 40 hours per week.

Caseload Details

• Grade Level: 3rd5th or 6th8th (pending assignment)
• Classroom Type: General, Inclusion, or Self-Contained
• Caseload Type: Co-teaching model
• Classroom Support: Paraprofessionals

Responsibilities

• Provide quality services to K12 special education students
• Participate in planning and implementation of student programs
• Deliver special instruction, tutorial assistance, and collaborate with general education staff
• Maintain compliance with professional standards and documentation requirements

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (preferred)
• Valid Arizona teaching certificate
• LBS1 endorsement preferred
• CPR certification, TB clearance, and health certificate as applicable
• Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must be fully certified and available for in-person work
