Special Education Teacher Elementary SDC Behavior Program

Amergis Educational Staffing is seeking a Special Education Teacher to support an elementary-level SDC behavior program in Austin, TX. This full-time, in-person role begins October 6, 2025 and runs for 30 weeks, filling a key instructional gap.

Position Overview

• Schedule: MondayFriday, 7:15 AM 3:15 PM
• Hours: 37.5/week
• Modality: In-person only
• Pay Rate: $48/hour (local) or $2,100/week (travel)
• Caseload: 34 students
• Grade Levels: K5
• Program Focus: SDC behavior

Key Responsibilities

• Provide academic instruction and behavioral support to K5 students
• Collaborate with general education and support staff
• Implement individualized student programs
• Maintain compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines

Minimum Requirements

• Valid Texas teaching certificate (SPED and EC6 required)
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university (preferred)
• LBS1 endorsement (preferred)
• One year of teaching experience (preferred)
• CPR certification, TB clearance, and health certificate as applicable
• Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age
