Special Education Teacher

Amergis Educational Staffing is seeking two Special Education Teachers to support students at Grand Mesa Middle School and West Middle School in Grand Junction, CO. These full-time, in-person roles begin October 13, 2025, and run for 36 weeks, offering a competitive rate of $50/hour.

Position Overview

• Location: Grand Mesa MS or West MS, Grand Junction, CO
• Start Date: October 13, 2025
• Duration: 36 weeks
• Schedule: MondayFriday
• Hours: 37.5/week (7:30 AM 3:30 PM)
• Modality: In-person

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized instruction and support for K12 students
• Collaborate with general education staff and participate in student program planning
• Deliver tutorial assistance and consult with support teams
• Maintain compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines

Minimum Requirements

• Valid Colorado teaching certificate
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university (preferred)
• State Teacher Certification: Standard Elementary, Secondary, or Special Teaching (preferred)
• Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred
• Minimum one year of teaching experience (preferred)
• CPR certification, TB clearance, and health certificate as applicable
• Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age
