Pay Range: Starts at $35/hour. Daily pay available!

Shift Differentials: Available for night, weekend, and additional shifts.

Location: SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital - St. Louis, MO

Requirements: Completion of a Sonography program and ARDMS or CCI registry in Abdomen, OB/GYN, or Vascular within 12 months of hire.

Job Summary: Perform diagnostic procedures using ultrasound technology to produce quality images for medical interpretation. Registration as a sonographer in the relevant specialty is necessary.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Set up and adjust equipment, manually positioning transducers for exams.
• Implement safety standards and perform quality control procedures.
• Conduct routine and complex studies, assisting in various imaging procedures.
• Identify significant structures, artifacts, pathology, and equipment limitations.
• Ensure equipment is functioning properly and report any issues accordingly.
• Submit high-quality images and documents to PACS promptly, ensuring proper labeling and patient history.
• Help maintain a clean and organized department.
• Comply with regulatory agency requirements.
• Work in a safe and alert manner.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Education:

• Completion of a Sonography program.

Experience:

• No experience required.

Physical Requirements:

• Constant standing and walking.
• Frequent use of vision and depth perception.
• Frequent communication through hearing and speech.
• Frequent movement of patients and objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
• Occasional handling of heavier objects up to 50 lbs.

Required Certifications:

• Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA)
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) with Abdomen (AB), OB/GYN Specialty, or Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS)/Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT)
