Solid Tumor Program Medical Director Associate or Professor of Clinical Pediatrics (Hematology-Oncology) - CHLA

The Cancer and Blood Disease Institute (CBDI) at Children's Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) and the Division of Hematology-Oncology within the Department of Pediatrics, Keck School of Medicine, are seeking an internationally recognized leader to serve as the Medical Director of the Solid Tumor Program. This role involves overseeing clinical and research activities, collaborating on program expansion, conducting research, and advancing innovative therapies for pediatric solid tumors. The position reports to the CBDI Section Head for Oncology and includes membership at the USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center, with an academic appointment at USC Keck School of Medicine at the level of Associate Professor or Professor, based on experience.

The CBDI is the largest and top-ranked pediatric hematology-oncology program in the western U.S., ranked #3 nationally by U.S. News & World Report in . The program provides multidisciplinary, individualized care for children with solid tumors such as sarcomas, neuroblastoma, retinoblastoma, liver, and kidney tumors. It conducts cutting-edge research, hosts extensive clinical trials, and is involved in major pediatric oncology consortia. In FY23, research funding totaled $52.5 million, including $8.3 million in new awards. The CBDI also offers ACGME-accredited fellowship programs and advanced subspecialty training in areas like AYA Oncology and Neuro-Oncology.

The annual base salary range for this position is $116,505 - $517,500. USC considers various factors when extending employment offers, including experience, education, skills, and market conditions.
