We’re looking for a passionate software engineering manager to lead a team of software engineers who work on FaceTime, Phone, Voicemail, Emergency SOS, and more! This team has a duty to shape and drive the FaceTime product with a focus on larger screens (Mac and iPad). We fulfill our duty by caring deeply, living on our software, developing defensible opinions on what to keep / what to change, and having empathy for the countless users in the world who rely on us every day.

This team’s products are deeply important to Apple users and our success depends on partnership, technical leadership, and diverse experiences!

In this role, your responsibilities will include:

• Maximizing team effectiveness by mentoring our high growth employees to succeed in lead roles.
• Planning and delivering ambitious features on Apple’s annual release cycle.
• Shaping product direction by developing vision and building relationships with key cross-functional stakeholders, including: peer engineering teams, the design team, senior software leadership, and the product marketing team.
• Making the right strategic technology decisions, striking balance between improving the quality of our existing products and investing in new product development.

Education & Experience

BS in Computer Science or equivalent

• At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $173,000 and $260,000, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
• Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
