Software Engineer, iOS - SevenRooms, In-Store Experience

The SevenRooms team is hiring iOS Engineers to join our mobile squad. We're looking for experienced developers who specialize in Swift (and Objective-C) and are excited to partner with Product Managers and Designers, to improve live-shift workflow efficiency for restaurants and surface actionable insights to our users. We partner closely with venue operators to understand their needs and then build + scale mobile products that help restaurants create magical experiences each day.

We're a rapidly growing team of Engineers, Scientists and builders on a mission to fundamentally transform the hospitality industry. This role reports directly to an Engineering Manager.

You're excited about this opportunity because you will

• Create new UI components and platform-specific experiences that make the SevenRooms app feel familiar for users across platforms
• Improve our code base through continuous refactoring and unit testing
• Architect services and solve challenging real-time data transfer and synchronization problems
• Extend and implement our APIs
• Participate in user research and testing to better understand our customers
• Ship the app to iTunes Connect, TestFlight and the App Store using automated deployment tools
• Keep up-to-date with the industry standards of iOS development

We're excited about you because you have

• BS, MS, or PhD. in Computer Science or related field
• 5+ years of experience shipping iOS apps utilizing Swift and Objective-C
• Experience designing and publishing apps on the App Store that communicate heavily with a REST API
• Familiarity with networking, storage, and Cocoapods
• Systems and OOP knowledge
• Extensive knowledge of iOS Frameworks such as Core Data
• Strong product intuition
• Humility - willing to get into the details and open to feedback

Compensation

The successful candidate's starting pay will fall within the pay range listed below and is determined based on job-related factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. Base salary is localized according to an employee's work location. Ranges are market-dependent and may be modified in the future.

$130,600 - $192,000 USD

$159,800 - $235,000 USD

$193,800 - $285,000 USD

In addition to base salary, the compensation for this role includes opportunities for equity grants. Talk to your recruiter for more information.

For salaried roles: flexible paid time off/vacation, plus 80 hours of paid sick time per year.

For hourly roles: vacation accrued at about 1 hour for every 25.97 hours worked (e.g. about 6.7 hours/month if working 40 hours/week; about 3.4 hours/month if working 20 hours/week), and paid sick time accrued at 1 hour for every 30 hours worked (e.g. about 5.8 hours/month if working 40 hours/week; about 2.9 hours/month if working 20 hours/week).
