What does a successful Software Development Engineering Advisor II do at Fiserv?

At Fiserv, we are dedicated to transforming financial services technology to benefit our clients. As a Software Development Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software applications that move money in real time. You will work with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that align with our business goals and client needs.

What you will do:

• Design, development, and implementation of software applications to support Fiserv's business goals. Also expected to lead the team through these activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Perform coding, testing, and debugging of applications to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Maintain and improve existing codebases and lead peer review processes.
• Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance to enhance team capabilities.

What you will need to have:

• 6+ years of an equivalent combination of educational background, related experience, and/or military experience
• 6+ years of experience in software development
• 3+ years of experience in Java and Spring Framework
• 3+ years of experience in NoSQL databases and relational databases
• 3+ years of experience in AWS or Azure.
• 3+ years of experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices, with tools like Gitlab, Gradel, Maven, Terraform, Harness, Secrets Manager, etc.
• 3+ years of experience with Agile methodologies
• Experience in Angular web application development

Important information about this role:

• This role is on-site Monday through Friday. Fiserv considers in-person collaboration to be an essential part of this role as in-person office experiences help you with your overall onboarding experience and leads to stronger productivity.
• You must currently possess valid and unrestricted U.S. work authorization to be considered for this role.
