Skilled Electrician

Join our team as a Skilled Electrician!

Your Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine preventive maintenance on electrical and electronic mill equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Repair, modify, and maintain various electrical and electronic systems.
• Engage in tasks including wiring circuits, replacing components, and repairing electronic devices.
• Perform testing using instruments such as multi-meters and Megger.
• Stay updated on technical changes and equipment designs by attending training sessions as needed.
• Work on rotating shifts, including nights, holidays, weekends, and as needed for overtime.
• Safely adhere to strict safety rules and regulations, including wearing safety equipment and completing all required training.
• Assist with additional duties as assigned.

What You Need:

• High School diploma or GED.
• Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
• Background in electrical fundamentals.
• Knowledge of 3-phase and single-phase power distribution, motor controls, wiring, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with 480-volt power and logic circuits.
• Proficient computer, math, analytical, and planning skills.
• Able to interpret and follow electrical schematics without supervision.
• Familiarity with machine control systems and ability to troubleshoot complex systems.
• Strong understanding of controller features and functions.
• Ability to identify signal paths through control circuits.
• Combination of education and experience will be considered.
• Eligible to work legally in the United States without employer sponsorship.
• Must be willing to work a 12-hour rotating schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays, as well as emergency call-ins as required.
• A collaborative team player with a commitment to delivering value and a willingness to cross-train for new skills.
• Consistent and predictable attendance is essential.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with VFD drives.
• Understanding of PLC operations.
• Able to interpret PLC logic for troubleshooting processes and equipment.
