Shop Laborer

We are seeking a Shop Laborer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience in a shop setting and will be responsible for general labor duties, cleaning work areas, utilizing hand and power tools, sanding/grinding materials, and operating machinery once fully trained. Those with experience in manual labor and general production will find this position a great fit.

Responsibilities

• Perform general labor duties in a shop setting.
• Clean and maintain work areas to ensure a safe and organized environment.
• Utilize hand and power tools effectively.
• Sand and grind materials as needed.
• Operate machinery after receiving proper training.

Essential Skills

• 1+ years of experience as a laborer or production worker in a shop setting.
• Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
• Ability to read a tape measure accurately.
• Experience with deburring and machine operation.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience sanding/grinding steel components.
• Capability to operate various shop machinery.
• Ability to read and understand shop blueprints.

Work Environment

Work in a large shop/manufacturing environment that is non-climate controlled. Dock doors are open with fans to manage temperature in warmer seasons. The position is on the 1st shift, from 7 AM to 3:30 PM, with overtime available starting at 6 AM when needed. Pay rate is determined based on candidate's experience and needs.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Galion, Ohio.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $21.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
