Job Title
In this role, you will partner in the execution of business plans for manufacturing operations and will be responsible in providing support to help those operations achieve BPD plans and important metric objectives. Work is of a high-level, technical nature using independent judgment within the limits of GMS and standardized launch processes - focusing on Safety, People, Quality, Responsiveness, Cost, and Environment (SPQRCE). You will need to possess the ability to deal with complex problems. You may also mentor less experienced team members.
This position does not require an employee to be on-site full-time to perform most effectively. This position requires an employee to be onsite 3 times per week at the GM Global Technical Center in Warren, MI. Other than the 3 times per week on site, the employee's role enables them to work at a GM facility or off-site as frequently as needed or desired.
This job may be eligible for relocation benefits.
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent operations experience
10+ Years of experience in automotive manufacturing industry
5+ years of experience of Body Shop processes in the automotive manufacturing industry
Experience in Body Manufacturing operations and/or Body Manufacturing Engineering/Maintenance
Demonstrated track record of measurable results
Demonstrated problem solving and communications capability
Solid organizational and follow-up skills.
Highly proficient in using MS Office suite of tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project) to produce professional written communication, such as reports, presentations, and correspondence
Ability to travel 40% of the time or higher based on business needs domestically and/or internationally.

Master's Degree in Engineering/Business Administration
