Warehouse Shipping And Receiving

The Warehouse Associate plays a key role in the smooth operation of the warehouse, focusing on receiving inbound freight, processing and shipping outbound orders, and performing light assembly tasks. The successful candidate will use bar code scanners and engage in tasks such as picking orders, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring a clean and organized workspace.

Responsibilities:

• Receive inbound freight and process outbound orders using bar code scanners.
• Pick orders from an order sheet and ensure accuracy by checking against work sheets.
• Maintain an accurate inventory and a clean, organized warehouse environment.
• Perform day-to-day operational warehouse tasks including loading, unloading, packing, and shipping orders.
• Operate material handling machinery such as pallet jacks and pallet wrappers.
• Stock and move material accurately throughout the warehouse.
• Assist with cycle counts and physical inventory to maintain accurate data inventory.
• Perform all tasks in compliance with quality standards and safety procedures.

Essential Skills:

• Experience in warehouse operations and inventory control.
• Ability to safely lift 50 to 60 pounds throughout an 8-hour shift.
• Comfortable using bar code scanners and performing data entry in multiple computer systems.
• Strong communication skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience with cherry picking or forklift operation is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Ability to use basic hand tools.

Work Environment:

The work environment is a brand-new facility with large ceiling fans for air circulation. It is not climate-controlled. Employees will have access to complimentary beverages in the cantina, with snacks available for purchase. It is essential to scan items to ensure proper restocking.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Contract To Hire position based out of Charlotte, North Carolina.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $18.25/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
