Lead Service Technician (Diesel & Automotive)

As a Service Technician, you will serve as the lead technician, developing and teaching new technicians the trade. You will be responsible for providing all necessary electrical and mechanical repairs to various types of tractor-trailer semis. Your role will involve testing and troubleshooting engines to diagnose both mechanical and electrical issues, as well as making the required mechanical changes and repairs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and teach new technicians learning the trade.
• Provide electrical and mechanical repairs for tractor-trailer semis.
• Test and troubleshoot engines to diagnose issues.
• Make mechanical changes and repairs to engines.
• Conduct electrical and wiring repairs.
• Utilize blueprints and schematics specific to each engine.
• Operate different hand tools, power tools, and pneumatic tools.
• Drive trucks in and out of the service bay.
• Meet with customers to understand issues with their semis.
• Lift up to 70 lbs as needed, predominantly using lifts.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 10 years of experience as a diesel technician.
• 5 years of experience in developing others as a trainer, lead, or supervisor.
• CDL Class A is preferred.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $99840.00 - $108160.00/yr.
