About Our Transportation Team

HDR's Oregon Transportation team is in search of a Senior Transportation Engineer to join our growing practice and world-class engineering roadway design expertise. Our transportation projects include highways, local roadways, large urban freeways, ADA ramp improvement programs, bike/pedestrian lanes, transit, and BRT corridors projects. In The Role Of Senior Transportation Engineer (Roadway), We'll Count On You To:

• Work as a key member of a highway/roadway design team with medium to large projects.
• Prepare and oversee the following roadway/highway design work using local or AASHTO standards: horizontal and vertical alignment, roadway sections, intersection layout and sight distance determination, interchange layout, roadway drainage, and ADA ramp design.
• Prepare the following elements of various sizes of contract plans, site preparation plans, roadway profiles, drainage plans and profiles, utility plans, paving, pavement marking plans, signing plans, traffic control plans.
• Perform other duties as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's Degree in Civil Engineering
• Experience with MicroStation, InRoads, Microsoft Office applications

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree
• A minimum of 10 years experience in all aspects of roadway engineering design
• Professional Engineer (PE) license
• Demonstrated leadership skills, communication skills and ability to work with various teams
• Project management skills desirable
• Experience should include urban and rural highway interchanges, intersection design, traffic management, transportation planning, site planning, preparation of concept alignments, geometrical layout and CAD base alignment plans
• Must have coordinated survey, grading, drainage and utilities and layout of various site items is a plus
• An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must

The expected compensation range for this position depends upon skills, experience, education, and geographical location. (Stated benefits are for full-time regular positions. Temporary and part-time roles eligible for limited benefits.) WA: $116,000-$168,000
