Senior Tax Accountant

Overview

Insight Global is looking for a Senior Tax Accountant to work for a large oil and gas client. The Sr. Accountant will be responsible for accounting and supporting cash management activities for the business, including wholesale and retail operations in the fuel and convenience store industry. This role will focus on multistate sales and property taxes, preparation of various journal entries and reconciliations and provide support to treasury as requested. Responsibilities

• Manage accounting and cash management activities for the business, including wholesale and retail operations in the fuel and convenience store industry.
• Focus on multistate sales and property taxes.
• Prepare journal entries and reconciliations; provide support to treasury as requested.
• Participate in process improvement and automation projects as needed.

Qualifications

• Senior/Mid-Senior level accounting experience.
• Experience with tax accounting, multistate tax matters, and financial reconciliation.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and adapt to a growing business.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
