Senior Systems Engineer

This position offers the opportunity to shape new products from inception and enhance existing ones. The successful candidate will closely collaborate with customers to develop system concepts, technical requirements, and product specifications. You will oversee systems design throughout the entire development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with customers to develop system concepts, technical requirements, and product specifications.
• Oversee systems design from concept to completion.
• Provide technical leadership throughout the development lifecycle.
• Report progress to management and customer representatives.
• Support systems integration and customer trial activities.
• Generate technical requirements and specifications, manage requirements, and ensure compliance traceability.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in MATLAB.
• Experience working cross-functionally with mechanical, electrical, and software engineers.
• Strong background in systems design and PCB design.
• Knowledge in electrical engineering, radar, and sonar.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in architecture development, interface definition, system modelling, algorithm development, data analysis, and conducting trade studies.

Work Environment

The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, including mechanical, electrical, and software engineers. A strong background in PCB design and familiarity with radar and sonar technologies are essential. The position requires technical leadership and involves reporting to management and customer representatives.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Santa Barbara, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $150000.00 - $220000.00/yr. Benefits include medical, dental and vision, life insurance, paid vacation and sick time, 3% 401K contribution (no matching required), company events. EEO/AA/Disability/Vets Employer.
