V2X is growing! V2X is looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to join our team!

V2X is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join our Engineering team in Indianapolis, IN supporting development and integration of advanced systems including situational awareness displays, mission computers, avionics, sensors, mission equipment, and radar systems. Our Indianapolis facility also supports a variety of other product lines serving multiple Department of Defense (DoD) customers providing the opportunity to work on a diverse set of programs and roles supporting the continued advancement of your career.

In this role, you'll contribute to system installation, test and troubleshooting, system maintenance, test procedure development, and test execution, ensuring high-quality solutions that meet mission-critical needs. You will collaborate within a cross-functional Integrated Product Team (IPT), where effective communication and team building skills are critical to success.

Required Skills:

  Experience with requirements development, hardware and software integration, and requirements verification.

  Experience with development, integration, and test of complex systems onto air, sea, and/or ground platforms.

  Ability and willingness for travel to support onsite integration/test events at different domestic and international locations.

• n

  Exposure to troubleshooting complex avionics and/or weapon systems including external interfaces and test equipment in real time when issues arise.

• n

  Experience with test execution including test plan and procedure development.

  n
n
• n

  Experience creating Trade Studies and analyzing technical data.

  n

• n

  Experience applying technical standards, principles, theories, concepts, and techniques to solve problems.

  n

• n

  Experience providing leadership, technical direction, and guidance to multi-discipline teams.

  n

• n

  Strong communication skills and ability to effectively communicate to internal and external stakeholders.

  n

• n

  Strong accountability with the ability to work autonomously to deliver high quality work products on-schedule.

• n

  In-depth understanding of the System Engineering Lifecycle and processes.

  n

• n

  Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain an Active DoD Secret Clearance.

Desired Skills:

• n

  Experience managing suppliers and overseeing the development of subsystems and components.

  n
n
• n

  Knowledge and experience working with digital data standards such as: MIL-STD-1553, MIL-STD-1760, Universal Armament Interface (UAI), Radio Frequency (RF) communication, and ENET protocols.

• n

  Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering methods, tools, and languages.

  n
n
• n

  Experience working with government customers including the US Army, US Navy, USMC, and/or USAF.

  n

• n

  Current Active DoD Secret or higher Clearance

  n
n

Education Requirements:

  Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related STEM discipline plus:

  At least five years of related engineering experience in systems, software, or hardware engineering
