As part of our innovative team, you will enhance interconnectivity and drive customer productivity by developing cutting-edge software solutions that integrate sensors, data sources, and advanced technologies.

In this role, you will lead the creation of a robust customer-side software platform tailored to enable data warehousing, AI-driven applications, and implement top-tier cybersecurity practices. Your expertise will be crucial in understanding requirements, conducting thorough trade studies, and spearheading technical development and testing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Gather and analyze technical requirements, and oversee system hardware-software-network design, development, integration, verification, and validation.
• Evaluate alternatives, including cost and risk analyses, to ensure comprehensive support for total systems solutions.
• Conduct systems requirements analysis, functional analysis, timeline tracking, trade studies, and ensure quality assurance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Develop and implement the technical strategy for the Ports and Borders enterprise networking solution while coordinating diverse teams to maximize value delivery.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to integrate both internal and external sensors into the enterprise solution.
• Engage with customers to uncover their future needs, ensuring our technical strategy aligns with their expectations.
• Drive the development of innovative solutions tailored to upcoming customer demands while ensuring compliance with cybersecurity standards.
• Research and analyze leading-edge technologies to assess their relevance and potential impact on our current and future programs.
• Mentor junior engineers to foster a culture of technical excellence and innovation within the organization.

Primary Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Engineering (Computer, Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace, Systems, etc.) or Computer Science, with a minimum of 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Ability to obtain a public trust clearance.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills alongside exceptional technical troubleshooting capabilities.
• Demonstrated ability to clearly communicate complex ideas, both verbally and in writing.
• Proven experience in developing and delivering large-scale technology solutions.
• Familiarity with software lifecycle development methodologies.
• Track record of managing solutions within cost and schedule constraints.
• Extensive knowledge of security practices, networking protocols, and compliance standards.
• Expertise in software testing and testing architecture, including understanding of testing cycles and requirements management.
• Skilled in software development life cycle models, particularly agile and DevOps methodologies.
• Experience in troubleshooting complex software systems and collaborating with diverse teams.
• Proven ability to multitask and self-prioritize in dynamic environments.
• Willingness to travel as necessary.

Additional Qualifications:

• Certifications such as CCNA/CCNP, INCOSE CSEP, ITIL, or CISSP are highly desirable.
