Leidos, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Senior Systems Administrator to enhance support for the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) Cost Assessment and Program Evaluation (CAPE) Joint Data Support (JDS). This position offers the flexibility of telework up to 20% of the time.

Basic Qualifications

• BS degree with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or a Masters with 2 years of relevant experience (equivalent years of experience may substitute for a degree).

• CompTIA Security + certification.

• 4+ years of experience in managing DoD systems, networks, and IT infrastructure configurations.

• 4+ years as a Systems Administrator for classified and unclassified networks, with experience in rack-mounted servers, network switches, and backup solutions.

• Hands-on experience with the DoD software approval process, Risk Management Framework, and Nessus system security scanning procedures.

• Proficiency in implementing DoD Security Technical Implementation Guide requirements on Windows-based systems.

• Active Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a SCI clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Military experience.

• Possession of a Doctorate in a technical domain.

• Experience with ACAS and Nessus security scanning.

• Application of STIG settings through Group Policy.

• Familiarity with SEIM applications.

Primary Responsibilities

• Support the customer's infrastructure Windows Servers by maintaining user access, installing required DoD security patches, and updating the system's operating systems.

• Be trained to take on Information System Security Officer (ISSO) duties for a highly secure facility, managing projects with limited access and submitting documentation for the Authority to Operate (ATO) issued by the DoD CIO office.

• Design and implement IT infrastructure to support TS/SCI and SAP projects.

• Plan and execute scheduled file backups using DoD Enterprise approved solutions.

• Perform Database Administration for Microsoft SQL Server, including version upgrades, database creation, user access permissions, tuning, and backup maintenance.

• Install and configure DoD Enterprise Servers with robust, fault-tolerant data storage, ensuring DoD STIG compliance using the DoD Enterprise security scanning software.

• Implement and support Information Assurance (IA) and security activities using the DoD Enterprise McAfee HBSS software suite and STIG compliance checks.

• Identify hardware and software requirements, develop acquisition plans, and manage acquisitions while maintaining records.

• Ensure the capability to provide infrastructure support for the TS/SCI facility.

• Support onsite IT needs for CAPE and Joint Staff conferences, including war games within the JDS conference rooms. Install and maintain standalone networks with client workstations and centralized servers, ensuring continuity during SVTC meetings and printing large high-resolution maps.

• Collaborate with the Joint Service Provider to implement firewall rules for successful application usage by internal and remote clients.

• Apply vendor software patches from the DoD Software Repository to JDS systems to mitigate security vulnerabilities.

Pay Range $72,150.00 - $130,425.00
