Senior Structural Engineer

A large international client in Phoenix, Arizona is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer with a strong background in the design and analysis of government and public sector facilities . This role involves leading structural engineering efforts for secure, mission-critical, and civic infrastructure projects, including federal buildings, military installations, and emergency response centers.

• Lead structural design for complex government facility projects, including secure and hardened structures.
• Perform structural analysis and prepare detailed engineering reports and construction documents.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local building codes, including UFC, IBC, and DoD standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including architects, civil, mechanical, and electrical engineers.
• Mentor junior engineers and support project management with technical leadership.
• Engage with government clients and stakeholders to ensure project alignment with mission objectives.
  

• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• 8+ years of experience in structural engineering, with at least 3 years on government, military, or industrial projects.
• Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., RISA, ETABS, SAP2000).
• Familiarity with Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC), Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection (AT/FP) standards, and seismic design.
  

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• 5+ years of structural engineering experience.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
