Expected salary range of $135,000 to $150,000, depending on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes bonuses and a 401(k).

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

The Senior Structural Engineer plays a vital role in executing advanced technical and engineering problem-solving in support of nuclear plant operations. This position acts as a key resource and technical expert within the engineering team, ensuring effective technical decision-making. With deep knowledge in civil/structural engineering principles and applicable industry codes and regulations, this role is essential for optimal site operations.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Provide advanced technical expertise to manage, develop, and implement engineering analyses, activities, and programs.
• Serve as a subject matter expert to identify and resolve equipment and system issues through direct consultation.
• Take accountability for engineering leadership responsibilities impacting both short-term and long-term site operations.
• Execute assigned engineering tasks by applying sound engineering principles effectively.
• Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness in work, adhering to proper configuration management and applicable codes and design criteria.
• Conduct independent research, reviews, studies, and analyses to support technical projects and programs.
• Recommend improvements in equipment, concepts, and techniques aimed at enhancing performance, reducing costs, correcting design flaws, or ensuring compliance with updated regulations.
• Perform other related duties as needed, including emergency response coverage and support for outage activities as directed by management.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil/Structural, Chemical, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, or Nuclear) with a minimum of 7 years of nuclear or relevant engineering experience.
• Meet access requirements for unescorted access and complete any necessary medical examinations or testing as needed for the role.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Professional Engineer Registration.
