Selectek has a need for a Senior Structural Engineer in the Jacksonville Beach, FL area.

Job description:

Responsibility - Project Management 15% Establish and maintain positive relationships with clients Lead scope development efforts by interfacing with clients Communicate scope needs to designers or other engineers Obtain quotes for engineering, equipment, material, and services Develop bid packages, lead bid meetings and evaluate bids Control documents generated during the course of the project.

Structural Design and Analysis, 65% Structural Design Leader on multi-discipline projects Coordinate with other disciplines as required to produce projects with the lowest total installed cost possible. Interact with Clients, Vendors, Contractors to obtain information pertinent to the completion of design work. Feed work to design team to draw and/or model Perform field work inspect conditions, verify existing conditions, lay out new structures and equipment efficiently Perform calculations and create analysis models as required Work with applicable codes to ensure design compliance Complete written technical reports

Construction Support 15% Provide construction support services during construction projects and/or mill/equipment shutdowns. Provide field engineering support during installation by others. Help contractors with lockout and permitting. Expedite material. Coordinate activities with Maintenance, Production, and contractors. Review installation for compliance with design documents.

Responsibilities - Business Development, 5% Expectations Always look for ways to help our clients. Look for ways to develop new clients When an opportunity occurs, work with the client to determine the scope. If scope falls into our capabilities, develop the estimate, and submit proposal.

Required:

Bachelors Degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering

10+ years of relevant experience with Industrial projects

Ability to Perform calculations and create analysis models

Preferred:

Pulp/Papermill experience is highly desired

PE state of FL and/or nearby states with reciprocity

Pay range: $45/hour - $60/hour ($94,000 - $125,000 annual salary)

Term of assignment: 6 months temp to perm

Pay method when direct: Salary

Location of job: Jacksonville, FL (when new office opens)

Hours and shift: Monday - Friday (7AM-3:30PM)

Work from home: Hybrid

Working remote: No

Overtime expected: Yes

Travel: Occasional to job sites

Work attire: Business Casual
