Senior Staff Software Engineer, Data, Cloud Memorystore – Google

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership on projects.
• Coach a team of engineers and lead the team in implementing and delivering functionality to customers with demanding workloads.
• Facilitate alignment and clarity across teams on goals, outcomes, and timelines.
• Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
• Partner with Product Managers to define product direction and priorities, and collaborate with other Google Cloud Platform (GCP) teams to drive alignment and integrations.

Minimum qualifications

• Bachelor2s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in software development.
• 5 years of experience with design and architecture with testing/launching software products.
• Experience with Redis, Memcached, or other caching or database systems.
• Experience in designing and developing performance systems with multithreading and synchronization.

Preferred qualifications

• Masters degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• 8 years of experience with data structures/algorithms.
• 5 years of experience in a technical leadership role with leading project teams and setting technical direction.
• 3 years of experience with cross-functional or cross-business projects.
• Experience in building managed services like Caching, Proxy, Database or Storage.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $248,000-$349,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Compensation details listed reflect the base salary only and do not include bonus, equity, or benefits.
