Senior Software Engineer, Reliability Engineering

We are looking for Site Reliability Engineers who are excited to integrate data with the latest technologies and drive transformative changes at Capital One.

What You'll Do:

• Work collaboratively with Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support comprehensive technical solutions using a variety of full-stack development tools and technologies.
• Stay current with trends in technology and actively participate in learning and mentoring within the engineering community.
• Team up with digital product managers to deliver robust cloud-based solutions that enhance user experiences for millions of Americans striving for financial empowerment.
• Utilize programming languages such as Java, Python, SQL, Ruby, and Go, along with container orchestration services including Docker and Kubernetes, along with configuration management tools like Ansible and Terraform, and various AWS tools and services.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in DevOps Engineering (internship experience not included).
• At least 2 years of experience using Cloud Native technologies (such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).
• A minimum of 2 years of Unix or Linux system administration experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience with Terraform or Ansible.
• 2+ years of experience with container orchestration services such as Docker or Kubernetes.
• 2+ years of experience in coding and scripting (Python, SQL, Java, JavaScript, Golang, Bash, Perl, or Ruby).
• 2+ years of experience with Agile Development Practices.

The salary range for this role varies by location: Riverwoods, IL: $144,200 - $164,600; Chicago, IL: $144,200 - $164,600; McLean, VA: $158,600 - $181,000.
