Senior Software Engineer

Position Summary...

What you'll do...

• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Kotlin, and Scala.
• Experience in building a Code, Deploy, Run pipeline utilizing DevOps best practices with CI/CD tools.
• Strong computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.
• Ability to own Tech Debt and engage in Tech Modernization while balancing long-term implications of design decisions.
• Proficient in Java/J2EE, Microservices, and Cloud Native Architecture.
• Hands-on experience with Microservices and RESTful web services development using Java SpringBoot, Spring Kafka, or similar frameworks.
• Good knowledge of messaging systems like Kafka and RabbitMQ.
• Extensive knowledge of Cloud Native and Microservice Architectures, including related stacks (Service Registry, ELK/Splunk, VMs) and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with at least one of the following: Azure or Google Cloud Platforms.
• Self-starter with the capability to multitask in fast-paced and ambiguous environments.
• Demonstrated end-to-end ownership of development and design in cloud-based projects.
• Strong hands-on development skills for prototyping technical solutions.
• Ability to drive change and adapt quickly to new situations.
• Proficient in new and emerging technologies.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, including negotiation and consensus-building ability.
• Educational background: Bachelor of Science/Masters with 8 years of full lifecycle technical program management experience; or Master of Science with 5 years of technical program management experience; or 8 years of technical program management experience.
• Experience with various development methodologies (Agile, Kanban preferred).
• Coaching teams on problem-solving, processes, and tools.
• Experience collaborating with global and cross-functional teams.
• Excellent written and verbal presentation skills, able to interface with all organizational levels.
• Comfortable in a dynamic, growing environment.
• Experience with Agile tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
• Analytical skills with data sets and intermediate knowledge of statistics from ALM tools or workflow analytics software.
• Understanding of large-scale distributed systems, databases, big data systems, and cloud-native application development.
• Solid technical aptitude with the ability to comprehend technical designs and associated challenges/risks.
• Involvement in shaping the strategy of programs and projects.
