Senior Project Engineer - Gas Combustion Appliances

This role is based out of our Johnson City, TN office, where you will lead and revolutionize project designs integrating mechanical and manufacturing aspects to meet global standards and customer expectations.
Salary: $80,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Lead the planning, implementation, and monitoring of project developments, focusing on mechanical and manufacturing designs.
Execute advanced engineering tasks independently and apply engineering principles within specialized gas combustion fields.
Mentor and guide the engineering design team through the entire project cycle, from initial concept to successful completion.
Engage in project identification meetings with marketing and management teams to establish clear specifications and project scopes.
Develop and maintain documentation and systems for project programs, ensuring product and service quality meets all contractual and program requirements.
Conduct regular project meetings, preparing detailed reports to communicate project status within and outside the team effectively.
Ensure product design adheres to engineering principles, company standards, and customer contract requirements.
Address and resolve technical challenges, scheduling issues, and test design problems as they arise.
Assess and implement design modifications and updated specifications.
Prepare accurate project expense forecasts and manage expenditures to align with budgetary constraints.
Perform additional related tasks as necessary.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
Over 5 years of professional experience in gas appliance design, testing, or combustion engineering.
Proficiency in computer-aided engineering (CAE) tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent analytical skills with a strong ability to read, interpret, and create scientific and technical reports.
Highly organized with superior time management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering or related fields.
Project management certification or formal training in project management methodologies.
Experience leading cross-functional engineering teams.
Expertise in regulatory compliance and industry standards related to gas combustion appliances.
Knowledge of sustainable design practices.
