Responsibilities:

• Lead preconstruction activities for assigned projects, from conceptual budgeting to detailed estimates
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and clients to develop accurate and competitive budgets
• Manage subcontractor outreach and analyze proposals to ensure scope completeness and cost accuracy
• Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs, pricing, and cost models
• Provide value engineering ideas and constructability recommendations
• Assist with developing schedules and logistics plans during preconstruction
• Mentor junior preconstruction staff and support their professional growth
• Help refine internal processes and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements:

• 5+ years of preconstruction or estimating experience in commercial construction
• Proven success working on ground-up projects in healthcare, education, or other commercial sectors
• Strong understanding of construction means, methods, and sequencing
• Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Excel
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with design teams, owners, and internal stakeholders
• Detail-oriented, analytical, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
