Functions as technical specialist. Supervise multi-discipline engineering staff on projects of medium to high complexity, and/or is recognized as a key reference for technical guidance through depth and breadth of knowledge. Has some influence for scope of responsibilities within the organization.

Key responsibilities include providing guidance on department design guides, standards, systems, applicable engineering codes and B&V policies. Ensuring compliance with B&V quality program, and preparing complex engineering deliverables for multiple or mega projects. Managing assigned budgets, schedules, and quality requirements. Actively coordinating with all other internal/external team members on complex projects and determining identification of key client interests and drivers on projects. Serving as the technical specialist in a broad area of specialization, or in a narrow but specialized field. Overseeing performance management, career planning, recognition, learning and development, and corrective actions.

Management responsibilities include supervising work of others, responsible for hiring, discipline, and pay administration of their subordinates.

Preferred Qualifications: Strong experience in 69kV to 500kV overhead transmission line design and working knowledge and/or expertise in Power Line system based programs (i.e., PLS, PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, etc.) preferred. Advanced knowledge of engineering design principles and applicable design guides and standards related to assigned engineering discipline. Previous client interaction experience with solid relationship-building abilities in pursuit of business opportunities. Experience with the design of utility-scale electrical transmission systems. Structural design of transmission steel structures and their foundations. Basic structural steel and concrete experience using 3D analysis and design software.

Minimum Qualifications: Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from either a recognized accredited program in their home country or the country in which the professional is practicing or equivalent experience in engineering work. Minimum of 11 years related work experience. Holds an active engineering registration or licensure to support engineer of record (EOR) requirements for BV projects in applicable countries and supports where necessary.
