Senior Mechanical HVAC Engineer

Base pay range

$123,600.00/yr - $162,300.00/yr

Responsibilities

• Lead HVAC design for heavy industrial clients, including field investigations, interfacing with clients & vendors, sizing and selecting equipment, and preparing construction design packages.
• Manage schedule and technical quality of challenging engineering tasks in a multi‑discipline, highly interactive team.
• Develop conceptual and preliminary design documents, including calculations, Air Flow Diagrams (AFDs), Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), and general arrangements.
• Produce final design documents, specifications, sequences of operation, duct/piping layout, and final construction documents for chilled water, cooling water, etc.
• Coordinate with other disciplines.

Qualifications

• Professional Engineering License.
• At least ten (10) years’ experience in the design of HVAC systems for industrial facilities.
• Thorough knowledge of codes and standards related to the design of HVAC systems.
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Adaptability to work within a fast‑paced team environment with multiple deadlines.
• Ability to lead a building mechanical team on a project and collaborate with other discipline team members remotely.
• Software experience in Revit, Carrier HAP, Trane Trace 700, and Trane Trace 3D (ideally).
• Experience in the design of plumbing/utility systems (ideally).
