The Senior Marketing Agency Manager is responsible for leading external agencies to create and execute marketing strategies and campaigns that deliver measurable outcomes for the firm, prospects, clients, and branches. This role requires strong business acumen to connect home office and branch marketing programs with business segment, Market Management, and Practice Management objectives.

A key focus of this role is overseeing agency-led initiatives across paid media channels, ensuring they are strategically aligned with business goals and optimized for performance. The Senior Marketing Agency Manager ensures agency deliverables drive impactful, multi-channel marketing initiatives that support growth and enhance the prospect, client and branch experience.

What you'll do...
  • Accountable for millions of dollars of firm budget, partner with external agencies to innovate, develop, and execute marketing strategies and campaigns. Hold agencies accountable for delivering high-quality work and performance results, focused on business objectives, within established timelines and budgets.
  • Lead the development and execution across paid media channels (includes linear TV, YouTube, Online Video, CTV, Digital Audio, Paid Social, Programmatic, Paid Search, Custom Sponsorships), ensuring they are audience-targeted, data-informed, and integrated with broader marketing efforts. Collaborate with agencies to refine segmentation, personalization, and creative strategies that drive engagement and conversion.
  • Synthesize high complex data and insights from different sources to develop strategic conclusions and deeply understand key audiences.
  • Ensure marketing programs are aligned to business segment, practice, and market management objectives. Create program roadmaps with measurable checkpoints, and constantly validate agency deliverables with internal stakeholders.
  • Oversee development and execution of multi-channel marketing campaigns targeted to key audiences that drive engagement and deliver results measured in prospect outcomes, client outcomes, and branch capacity and effectiveness. Collaborate with internal EBM teams to ensure seamless integration of agency work with broader EBM efforts.
  • Utilize strong analytical ability to evaluate end-to-end customer experience across multiple channels and customer touch points.
  • Partner with analytics teams to measure the effectiveness of paid media marketing campaigns, leveraging A/B and multivariate testing, predictive analytics, and campaign optimization. Use external and internal insights to refine strategies and continuously improve ROI.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment on Marketing and Branch objectives. Influence cross-functional teams to support the successful execution of EBM priority workstreams.
  • Leverage external agency expertise to ensure innovation and delivery of best-in-class marketing across paid media channels, with an eye toward future capabilities and changes in the media landscape.
  • Partner closely with brand, digital, product, compliance, analytics, and agency teams to ensure alignment between creative, regulatory, and performance priorities.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging marketing technologies. Apply insights to enhance marketing strategies and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage new tools, platforms, and methodologies to enhance campaign performance and client experience.

Edward Jones observes ten paid holidays and provides 15 days of vacation for new associates beginning on January 1 of each year, as well as sick time, personal days, and a paid day for volunteerism. Associates may be eligible for bonuses and profit sharing. All associates are eligible for the firm's Employee Assistance Program. Hiring Minimum: $99200
Hiring Maximum: $168900

Skills/Requirements

What you'll need...
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business, or a related field
  • 8+ years of experience leading and holding external agencies accountable for marketing results-preferably within regulated industries such as financial services, banking, insurance, or wealth management
  • Extensive experience developing and managing broad reaching paid media strategy and plans, including strategy, execution, testing, and optimization
  • Proven ability to manage large budgets and deliver measurable business results
  • Strong familiarity with agency ways of working, with a track record of securing top-tier agency talent and performance
  • Experience with media planning tools and analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Tableau, MRI/Simmons, Marketing Mix Models)
  • Expertise in audience segmentation and delivering personalized omnichannel journeys
  • Strong knowledge of attribution models and performance measurement best practices
**Candidates that live within in a commutable distance from our Tempe, AZ and St. Louis, MO home office locations are expected to work in the office three days per week, with preference for Tuesday through Thursday.**

Current INTERNAL home-based associates: While this role is posted as hybrid, if selected and accepted, you may retain your home-based status. Edward Jones intends in good faith to continue offering the role as home-based, though future business or regulatory needs may require on-site work.
