About the Role

As a Senior UX Manager on the Core Ecommerce team, you will lead a team to articulate the strategy and design for key parts of the Walmart.com and mobile app shopping experiences, focused on building and mentoring your team and workflow for high impact results. You will use your deep understanding of consumer app patterns and retail experiences to transform how our customers complete their shopping missions in our app and on our site. Youll be accountable for the craft and timely delivery of your teams work, and youll own and present a strong design POV within your partner set to shape market-leading solutions via the product roadmap.

• Excellent visual and interaction design skills and a keen understanding of trends in and out of retail.
• An ability to communicate concepts in a clear and compelling way to audiences of all levels of understanding and levels of seniority.
• A demonstrable understanding of ecommerce and deep experience building experiences that drive revenue.
• A strong design aesthetic that brings together brand expressions and systems thinking. You practice universal design.
• Deep experience with business requirement gathering, end-to-journey mapping, facilitating sessions like Design Sprints, conducting competitive analysis, and leading rapid concepting and prototyping.
• Comfort with ambiguity along with an ability to motivate teams and partners.
• Ability to consume deep strategic data and insights to produce meaningful experiences for customers and members.
• A demonstrable track record working cross-functionally with successful products in a fast-paced environment. You thrive in an ever-changing environment.
• A strategic mindset and a system thinking approach to taking the complex and making it simple.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Degree in HCI, Information Architecture, Digital Design, or similar and 7+ years of experience in product design.
• Have a fantastic portfolio of elegant design solutions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Minimum Qualifications:

Option 1: Bachelors degree in UI/UX design, graphic design, visual communication, product design, computer science, information technology, or related area and 5 years experience in UI/UX, interactive and visual design, electronics art, multimedia design, or related area. Option 2: 7 years experience in UI/UX, interactive and visual design, electronics art, multimedia design, or related area. 2 years supervisory experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Design certification (for example, IDEOU - Foundations in Design Thinking Certificate), Driving product development in a user experience area, Masters degree in UI/UX Design, Interactive and Visual Design, Product Design, or related area, Related industry experience (for example, retail, supply chain, eCommerce, healthcare), UI/UX, Interactive and Visual Design, Electronics Art, Multimedia Design, or related area, We value candidates with a background in creating inclusive digital experiences, demonstrating knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly.
