Job Summary: Lead capacity planning globally for all Equinix data center infrastructure products and services, driving scalable infrastructure strategies across power, cooling and other equipment to support global data center delivery, operations and interconnection services. Responsibilities include:

• Owning end-to-end capacity planning for Equinix's global data center infrastructure portfolio, ensuring optimal scaling across compute, network, and storage resources.
• Developing and analyzing business and technical scenarios to inform executive decision-making on infrastructure investments and service delivery.
• Defining and implementing comprehensive capacity planning processes, methodologies, and data models to deliver executable and optimized capacity plans.
• Proactively identifying capacity risks and developing mitigation strategies to ensure uninterrupted service delivery and operational efficiency.
• Forecasting demand across all product lines and analyzing trends to inform strategic deployment and expansion plans.
• Collaborating with Product, Sales, and Design teams to align infrastructure scaling with customer demand signals and market growth.
• Partnering with Engineering, Software, Construction and Operations teams to optimize infrastructure at the intersection of hardware, software, and data center operations.
• Working closely with Design, Construction, Supply Chain, Network Engineering, Data Center Design, and Operations teams to identify the most efficient ways to scale infrastructure and deploy services.
• Collaborating with Finance to balance cost efficiency with technical and business requirements.
• Leading cross-functional initiatives to define problem statements, collect data, build analytical models, and deliver strategic recommendations.
• Driving improvements in planning efficiency and quality through automation and tooling, partnering with software engineers to implement solutions.
• Defining and leading the development of capacity dashboards to monitor infrastructure utilization and proactively manage capacity shifts.
• Analyzing usage patterns, revenue trends, and financial reports to support budget planning and assess capacity impact.
• Demonstrating ability to lead capacity planning and efficiency teams, managing complex projects with a focus on quality and timely delivery.
• Applying exceptional problem-solving skills and a data-driven approach to infrastructure planning and optimization.
• Communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders through clear presentations and collaborative engagement.
