This full-time position operates Monday through Friday during normal business hours, with the potential for occasional overtime as needed. Enjoy the convenience of telecommuting from any location within the U.S.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately assign ICD-10 CM, ICD-10-PCS, DRG, and abstraction for facility services in compliance with coding guidelines and established protocols.
- Utilize your expert knowledge in Inpatient DRG Coding.
- Conduct thorough data abstraction during the chart review process as necessary.
- Uphold ethical coding standards established by AAPC and/or AHIMA.
- Meet and maintain performance standards related to coding quality and productivity.
- Engage with physicians for clarification as required.
- Stay informed about coding developments and participate in educational opportunities.
- Take on additional responsibilities as assigned by management.

Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED (or higher).
- Professional coding certification (AHIMA, AAPC credentials such as CCA, CCS, RHIA, RHIT, CPC-H/COC, CIC, CCS-P, CPC) with annual maintenance.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in inpatient DRG coding within an acute care setting.
- 3+ years of proficiency in ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, and DRG coding using an encoder.
- Intermediate skills in a Windows environment, including Microsoft Excel and familiarity with various EMR systems.
- Flexibility to work across multiple facilities as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Readiness to work during weekends, holidays, and overtime if necessary.

Compensation is based on multiple factors, including but not limited to local market trends, education, experience, and certifications. Alongside competitive salaries, we provide comprehensive benefits, including an extensive benefits package, incentive programs, equity stock purchase options, and 401k contributions, all subject to eligibility requirements. The hourly salary range for this role is $23.41 to $41.83.
